The Australian Association of Gerontology invites you to an online event to learn more about the falls prevention needs of older people recently hospitalised.

Our guest speaker, Chiara Naseri, will be discussing the latest research on the role of tailored education for falls prevention and recovery of function of older people returning home after hospitalisation. Chiara’s research evaluated a tailored education program for older hospitalised patients (n=390), to maximise health behaviour change and recovery of independence after hospital discharge. The project focussed on improving functional outcomes for older adults following hospital discharge, including strength and balance and avoidance of falls.
