Professor Piers Dawes is Professor of Audiology and Director of the Centre for Hearing Research at The University of Queensland, and Professor of Audiology at the University of Manchester. His research focuses on hearing impairment, ageing, multimorbidity, and equitable access to hearing healthcare. He has led major international and Australian research programs, including the EU Horizon 2020 SENSE-Cog project and NHMRC-funded studies of hearing and vision support in aged care. A Fulbright Scholar, he received the British Society of Audiology's T.S. Littler Prize for contributions to hearing research.
